Tragic End to Old Man’s Wanderings
BODY FOUND IN STREAM Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Found lying in a stream at Taw a Plat on Tuesday about half a mile from the roadway the body of an old mam has been identified as that of Nicholas Giilson Marsh, aged 84, or Jessie street, Wellington, who set out by train from Wellington on September 29 last to visit a daughter in Auckland. Ho did not reach his destination. The body was found by a farmer. Mr. Marsh is known to have got as far as Te Awamutu and there for some unexplainable reason he told the railway officials he was going to Wellington not Auckland and tho guard saw him safely on the express for Wellington. Relatives were waiting at Thorndon station but he did not arrive and. when no word was hchrd from him tho police were informed. Deceased was a widower.
