British and American Stars to Collaborate
IMPORTANT NEW PROGRAMME IS ANNOUNCED,
A system will also be .inaugurated for the interchange of British and American stars. Among the celebrated Hollywood stars likely to appear in Elstree films under this arrangement is Ronald Column. British artists who will be “loaned" to Hollywood arc Jack Buchanan, Anna Ncaglc and Dorothy Bouchicr. . Pictures already chosen for production as Elstree's share in this new cooperative enterprise include “Yes, Mr Brown," and “That’s a Good Girl" (both starring Jack Buchanan), two Aldwych farces and two comedies starring Tom Walls.
Tom Walls, Ralph Lynn and Jack Buchanan will collaborate with Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, Ronald Colman and other famous Hollywood stars in a great Anglo-American film-making adventure which may have a profound influence on the future of British pictures, states “The British Film Weekly."
A sensational announcement to this effect was made recently by Hubert Marsh, ckairman of British and Dominions Films, tho Elstree producing concern which lias entered into a treaty with United Artists, the Hollywood producers, to make films for distribution throughout the world under the supervision of Herbert Wilcox.
Britain’s contribution to this international screen programme will include pictures starring Tom Walls, Ralph Lynn, Jack Buchanan, Sydney Howard, Anna Neaglo, Winifred Shotter, Dorothy Bouchicr and Elsie Randolph, whose names will thus bo rendered famous throughout the world.
