Enjoyable Evening at Fortnightly Ingleside
The usual fortnightly ingleside was held by the Alanawatu Scottish Society on Wednesday evening, when the Cosmopolitan Hall was taxed to its capacity. The proceedings opened by Piper Smith playing a waltz, Bonner’s orchestra contributing excellent music for further dances. Air. and Aliss Birch sang a duet, which was well received. After a daiiLty supper had been served, Piper Smith played an extra. A Alonto Carlo waltz was won by Aliss Aic’Kcnzie and Air. Ofsoski. Alessrs. J. l-’orbcs and Hughes made excellent Ai’sO. A very successful function was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Lang Sync” and the National Anthem.
