Bankruptcy Petition
AUCKLAND UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR. AUCKLAND, Last Night. A petition to have Professor J. P. Grossman, of Auckland University College, adjudged bankrupt was adjourned by Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court yesterday until April 29. Counsel for tho petitioning creditor, who asked for the adjournment, said the matter had already been adjourned twice at the request of debtor’s counsel. Ho had been advised that day that the debtor had left New Zealand. He had not had opportunity to confirm that, but if the debtor had left, the creditor was not anxious to proceed with the petition. His Honour adjourned the case accordingly.
