Reinforcements Rushed to Northern Manchuria AG GRESSIVE ATTEN TIONS TOWARDS SOVIET DENIED San Francisco Press Broadcast. MUKDEN, April 10. The Japanese command to-day drew on its garrisons south of Mukden for reinforcements which were rushed to tho north-west to put dowii new insurgent outbursts in the districts around Cliengchiatuii, Taonan and Tungliao. Officials denied that this troop movement had any connection with reported tension between Japan and Soviet Russia. Lieut,.-General Hi rose, whose division is replacing tho troops of General 'l’amon, 'declared on his arrival in Harbin that the Japanese wore determined to free Northern Manchuria and Mongolia from lawless elements. He added that there was not a bit of truth in reports that Japan harboured aggressive intentions against the Soviet.
