Scrapping the Dirigible Los Angeles
RECOMMENDED AS ECONOMY MEASURE San Francisco Press Broadcast. “WASHINGTON, April 19. The House Appropriations Committee recommended to the House to-day that the dirigible Los Angeles be permanently placed out of commission as a measure of economy. The Navy’s Budget included 270,000 dollars for the Los Angeles, 25,000 dollars of which was for new gas cells.
