St. John Ambulance Brigade
There was a satisfactory attendance of members at the meeting of the Palmerston North division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, held in the Fire Station on Tuesday evening. Correspondence was received from the association regarding the lirst-aid classes. The secretary reported that the classes will commence within a few days, some 25 men having been enrolled. The subject for the evening was “The Respiratory System and Artiiicial Respiration,” Mr. AV. H. Barnard bc-ing the lecturer, after which the members were put through some practical first-aid work. The subject for the next meeting is “The Skeleton, Muscles and Fractures.”
