Cycle Road Racing

The ninth race in tho Wednesday competition for the Ilcndio cycle and Boucher trophy was run yesterday under rather boisterous conditions. Ihe longer handicap riders dominated affairs, and McGregor, off llmin., looked a sure winner until ho crashed and brought Stancombo down at Gillespie’s line corner. From there L. Day, also off llmin., rode on to win nicely from I. Jones, with A, Jones filling third place. Astin rode in solo shortly afterwards, closely followed by Olsen and McKenzie, who made a fine finishing sprint and got to within a length of OLscn. Hayes, who was off the back mark, was delayed by stock, on the road and was just beaten for time honours by one second. Following arc the detailed results: — L. Day (llmin.) 1 I. Jones (9-lmin.) " A. Tho race will be seven times round tho 7-mile block at Fitzherbcrt, and tho start will be front in front of Massey College at 1.30 pm. sharp. Mr. G. Mayo has declared the handicaps as follow:
