Primary School Rugby
JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY CENTRAL TERRACE END BEATEN IN PLAYOFF In the play-off for the primary schools’ junior Rugby championship, decided at Terrace End park yesterday afternoon, Central beat Terrace End by three points after one of the best games of primary football seen this season. The teams were very evenly matched, though the Central backs were, if anything, slightly superior to the opposing rearguard. The game was very fast and open and the ball travelled from one end of the field to the other at a great rate, and there was never a dull moment. The winning points came as the result of a try which was not converted.
The game was an exceptionally interesting one and the boys gave a very fine exhibition of the code,, each doing his utmost to gather honours to his school. Mr. W. Schwarz was the referee.
