Severe Earthquake In New Guinea
NO LIVES LOST. United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Monday, 9.59 p.m. CANBERRA, Aug. 19. The Administrator of New Guinea has notified Mr. Sculiin by radio that a severe earthquake occurred at Aitape at midday on Friday, lasting 40 seconds. The foundations of six bungalows were damaged, but there were no casualties.
