50 Per Cent. Cut in A.J.C. Stake Money

United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Monday, 9.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 10. The Australian Jockey Club has pruned down the prize money at its forthcoming spring meeting by at least 50 per cent, in the minor events. The added money for tho full programme will be £25,450, compared with £41,000 at the corresponding meeting last year. The A.J.C. Derby, however, remains the richest race in Australia with £BOOO added money, in addition to £250 to tho breeder of the winner, provided he bred the horse here or in Now Zealand.
