Manawatu Tennis Club’s Tournament
UNDER GOOD PATRONAGE. Under tho auspices of tho Manawatu Tenuis Club, Palmerston North, yesterday afternoon a handicap tourney was contested, tho fixturo drawing a largo number of club and visiting entries. All lawns wero occupied and it was only under pressure that tho matches were finalised at dusk. Many of tho games were made decidedly interesting by the even handicapping, drawn up by the club members, Messrs. G. Patton and A. Puklowski. The ,afternc|n tea arrangements wero carried out by Miss Warrall, ably assisted by Misses P. Jackson and B. and M. Hancock. Results. Ladies’ singles, first round: Miss D. Hadliold (8) dost to Miss G.
