Feilding Show To-day

BrO- GATHERING EXPECTED Yesterday members of the general committee of the Pending A. and P. Association were occupied throughout the day in putting the finishing touches on the lay out and organisation for the annual show which opens to-day. A table of comparative figures taken out by Mr. E. 11. Fisher, Iho secretary, shows clearly how well' the support of exhibitors for the show has been maintained and this encouraging evidence of the popularity of Feiiding’s show augurs well for the seasou of two days. All stock classes have been well sup ported with a marked increase in tfie pig exhibits, while some 500 entries have been tabulated in the homo industries, cookery and needlework sections. The show affords opportunity for one and all to inspect the cream of the stock produced in the district, as well as to view other features which must appeal to the varying interests. Judging will be in full swing to-day and the competitions include maiden hunters, boy and girl riders. Novelties are promised for each evening of the show and the grounds will be amply illuminated by electric light.
