Basic Wage Measurably Reduced in N.S. Wales

Following the quarterly adjustment of tho cost of living figures, the basic wago level has fallen from by from three shillings a week for .clothing trade employees and clerks to 'ss 6d for wharf labourers. Tho saving to employers in Now South Wales is estimated at about £500,000 per annum, that on tho railway alone amounting to £320,000.
