BUSINESS GIRLS’ DANCE
AN ENJOYABLE EVENING. The annual dance of the Palmerston North Business Girls’ Lunch club, which was held in the Cosmopolitan club last evening was one of the most successful functions of its kind held this season. All that a well prepared floor, excellent music and good organisation could do to make the dance a success was done and no more was left to complete a very delightful evening. The committee which was responsible to such a large degree for the success of the dance had shown a most commendable taste in the decorative scheme, which v,as a charming blending of the delicate tones of coloured streamers, greenery and balloons. The chaperones of the evening were Mesdamcs M. H. Oram, F. J. Nathan, M. A. Eliott, A. J. Graham and J. H. Bleckley. The ladies of the committee were Misses 0. Blockley, G. Bates, D. Bennett, S. Lucas, D. Edwards, E. Mayo, 0. Mardon, N. Yeoman, D. Johansen, M. Simons and M. Eogcrs. Mr. Reg. Forrest was a very capable master of ceremonies.
