PROTEST AGAINST SELECTION OF REPS.
“I have been instructed by my subunion to write strongly protesting against the manner of selection of representative players in connection with the recent North and South match,” stated a letter from the secretary of the To Kawau Kugby Sub-union re-
ccived at last evening’s meeting of the Manawatu Rugby District council. The letter further stated that the North selector had approached the To Kuwait selector, who had submitted live names. The North selector had stated, that ho would require three of the players but iinaliy only one had been chosen. The protest was lodged in the interests of country players, who were seldom seen in action by any outside authority; The letter was received without discussion.
