WKKK I,V MEETING. The Manawatu Rugby District council met last evening, Mr. J. A. Colquhoun presiding. Also present were: Messrs. H. R, Crawford, lv. \V. Eglinton, E. Clevely, T. Pagan, H. Hands, It. E. Hatch, T. McHcrron. Apologies were received from Messrs. Ely and Mackie. West End Old Boys’ club wrote with reference to the council’s censure of the behaviour of its fourth grade team visiting Woodvillp. The captain of the team had been interviewed and had stated that the door of the school had been open when the team had used the school grounds. To the captain’s knowledge, none of the players had climbed through tho window and no damage had been done to the building or contents. Tho West End club also notified that it would pay a lino of 5s for playing men in their wrong club colours but only under protest. Other teams had committed a similar breach but had not been penalised. The secretary pointed out that the fine had been imposed two meetings back but had not yet been paid, “I may say that sinco that fine was inflicted I have seen a junior team fielding at least five men in wrong jerseys,” said Mr. Colquhouu. Another member pointed out that unless the referee reported this breach of the rules, the council could do nothing. It was decided to inform- the West End club that its fine must bo paid by Saturday and Mr. Hands us -representative of the Referees’ association, was asked to stress the importance of all breaches in this respect being reported. /. : v The Te Kawau Sub-union notified that July 3 would bo a suitable dato for the third grade representative fixture versus Manawatu at Awahuri. Tho game will be commenced at 2.15 p.m. and Mr. Rees will referee. The Bush Union notified that July 27 would be a satisfactory date for its representative fixture against Manawatu. ... On August 24 Bush juniors wifi meet Manawatu at Palmerston North. Subject to a clearance being forthcoming, a transfer was granted De Malmancho from United Valley to Woodvillo with regrading from junior to senior. An application was also received from the Bunnythorpe club, requesting that J. Pinfold be regraded from junior to third grade. Tho application was granted. On the application of the Feilding club, T. Kelly was Tegraded from senior to junior. Mr. J. A. Colquhoun Was ’appointed Manawatu junior selector for the combined union.

It was decided to meet, as far as possible, a request from 'the Bunnythorpc club that home matches in future bo played at 2 p.m. and away games at 1.30 p.m. It was reported that thq gymnasium at the Showgrounds would not bo. available until next Monday evening. It was resolved that the A.' apd P. association be approached, with a view to malting more satisfactory, gymnasium arrangements in future. -■■■■•..
