NO LIGHTS AT NIGHT
CYCLISTS AND MOTORISTS FINED. A fairly large batch of cyclists appeared before the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court yesterday, charged with riding bicycles without lights at night. Each of the following was fined 10s with costs: —James Duhovich, W. P. Casey, Win. Eaton, B. Flanagan, A. J. Palmer, A. Berriman. C. Jones, A. Anderson, A. Sykes, V. Owen, Ted Jones and S. A. Fabling. A. Sykes, W. Eaton and B. Flanagan who did not stop when requested by the inspector, paid an additional fins of 30s with 10s costs for their intrepidness. lan MacPbcrson and B. F. Bell who rode on a footpath were also mulcted in the sum of 10s with 10s costs. W. 1L Webb, of Awuliuri, was found guilty of allowing stock to wander on the comity roads and was lined 10s with £1 2s costs. George I’Ahcr and George Knowles wore found guilty of parking ears at night; without lights and wore each fin’d £l. Fisher also paid 10s costs end Knowles J:ls costs. Bohan O ’Flaherty, of Palmerston North, through his counsel, Dir. A. M.
