FEILDING SALE

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report on Feilding sale, Friday, May 3. There was a very fair yarding of both sheep and cattlo which met with a ready sale. Fat lambs came forward in large numbers. The balance of the yarding consisted mostly of good ewes in lamb and store lambs. Cattlo sold at late rates. We quote:— Sheep: Fat lambs, 20s sd, 21s, 22s 2d, 22s lOd, 23s sd, 24s to 355; fat wethers, 29s Cd, 31s 7d to 32s lOd; fat ewes, 22s (id, 22s 9d, 22s lOd, 23s 4d, 245, 25s to 27s Id; 4 and 5-yr ewes, r.w. S.D.R., 28s to 295; empty ewes, small 8s Id to 9s Id; forward ditto, lfis 9d, 17s, 17s 9d, to 19s 7d; 2-th. withers to 31s Sd; b.f. lambs, 11s 6d, 15s 4d, 16s 2d to 16s 7d; good wether lambs to 21s 9d; small ditto, 7s 3d, 7s 9d, 8s 6d to 10s Id; ewe lambs small, 9s 4d, 11s Bd, 14s 14s Id, to 14s 7d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report: —A fair yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward for the Feilding sale held on Friday. There was a large entry of fat sheep which sold well. Breeding ewes and lambs sold on a par with late rates.
