Halcombe.
OBITUARY. From Our Own Correspondent. Widespread regret is felt throughout the district at the sudden death of Mr William Fergusson on Saturday Afternoon, in his G9th. year. Although living at Kakariki, Mr FeTgusson has always been connected with everything pertaining to the welfare of Halcombo, and its residents will miss him in many ways. His quiet, courteous disposition endeared him to one and all. As an earnest church worker, his services will be hard to replace. The deceased gentleman has been farming at Kakariki for the greater part of his life, and was engaged in farm w'ork when he suddenly collapsed. Mr Fergusson leaves a wife and three sons to mourn their loss, and a large number of relatives. The sons arc Messrs. Robert .John and Tony Fergusson. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved family in their great and irreparable loss.
