THE QUEEN’S DRESSES
The news that among tho sufferers from influenza at Buckingham Palace are two of the Queen’s dressers is a reminder that Royal ladies, like leading actresses, always have “dressers” and not “maids.” While tho dress even of a fashionable woman has now become “laboursaving” tho Queen’s duties demand a wardrobe which still entails a great deal of care, and Her Majesty’s outfits for State occasions have to be planned far ahead.
When the King; and Queen go away, each item of attire required during the visit, down to each collar and handkerchief, is carefully set down on a typewritten list. ;
