“TIES” WEATHER REPORT
Fine, But Rain Later
An anti-evdone still extends between New Zealand and Eastern Australia. There is evidence of a cyclone developing north of Cape Maria. Expect moderate to strong south-east to east winds north of Kawhia and Gisborne, increasing to gale force at places; elsewhere variable but moderating, easterlies to Bortherlcs prevailing and later freshening. The seas in New Zealand waters will be rather rough north of East Cape, elsewhere smooth to moderate; moderate to strong south-east to east winds in tho northern portion of the eastern Tasman Sea, with rather rough seas; moderate east to north winds ir the southern portion, with smooth to moderate seas. The weather will bo cloudy and unsettled north of Kawhia and Gisborne, with rain developing; elsewhere mainly fair at first but unsettled conditions gradually extending southwards. Cold night temperatures with inland frosts in South Island but milder to-morrow.
