Cold But Fine for Several Days FROSTS IN SOUTH ISLAND. The cyclone is now moving away eastward. A fairly intense anti-cyclone covers the Tasman sea. West to south winds reaching gale force at first in parts of Cook Strait; otherwise moderate to strong and decreasing generally. Rough seas in Cook Strait and on the East Coast south of Castlepoint. and a considerable swell in other parts. Seas otherwise moderate and decreasing generally. Fresh but decreasing southwesterly winds and rather rough but decreasing seas in the eastern Tasman. Weather still rather unsettled with scattered showers mainly on the East Coast but improving rapidly. Cold temperatures with some light inland frosts in the South Island.
