SCHOONER FOUNDERS IN BAY OF PLENTY
ALL HANDS SAFE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 20. Tho schooner Elsie Mary from Gisborne to Auckland sprang a leak and foundered in the Bay of Plenty. The crew took to the boat and landed on Alderman Island. The trawler Humphrey later picked up all hands and transferred them to the Northern Steamship Company’s Ngapuhi which arrived in Auckland early this morning.
