THE TIVOLI
"THE GOLDEN BUTTERFLY.’ 1
"The Golden Butterfly” is an outstanding example of a short story that gains rather than loses by being made into a picture. It is a visual version of quite a short story by that prince of humorous writers, P. G. Wodehouse. It made its earliest appearance in a magazine, and may be found in the collection of short stories which bears the general title of ‘ ‘ The Man With Two Left Feet.” but it is so crowded with human drama that in its screen version it could not possibly be told as briefly as it is told in words. The humour and the drama aro retained in their entirety, and indicent is so piled on incident that the picture moves rapidly from its earlest moment to its climax, and contains nothing in the nature of padding.
