GIRL’S NAKED BODY IN ISOLATED FIELD
FROZEN TO GROUND. CASE OF MURDER OR RELIGIOUS DEMENTIA? United Press Association —By Electria Telegraph—Copyright. Received Friday 9.10 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 22. Frozen to the ground, the unclothed body of a girl was found in an isolated field at Titsey, on the borders of Kent and Surrey. Her garments were scattered in the vicinity. . , A description was broadcast and led to the identification of the body as that of Annie Paulino Goldsmith, aged 23. of West Croydon. Scotland Yard was called in. At first it was thought to be a case of murder, but there is an alternative theory that the girl was the victim of religious dementia; that she herself scattered her clothing in the . field and becoming exhausted, died from exposure and shock. A badge and card, bearing texts, were found in the, clothing.
