GIRL GUIDE SWIMMING SPORTS
THIS AFTERNOON. The Girl Guidos are holding their annual swimming sports this afternoon at the Central school baths which have been kindly lent for the occasion. Besides the usual swimming events there will be novelty races—Hghted candle race, scramble • for corks, company relay race, and diving and lifesaving events. These sports are open to all surrounding districts and several Feilding Girl Guides are taking part. There will be keen competition for the challenge cup presented by Mrs. D. H. Bett, which was won last year by Phyllis Nicholls, of the First Palmerston North Company. Afternoon tea will be procurable at the baths.
