Mrs. T. B. Hodder is a Palmerston North visitor to Auckland. ■ •Mrs. W. Turner, Palmerston North, is staying at Paraparaumu. Mrs. PowdTell, of Auckland, is visiting Palmerston North. Miss Dulcie Wolfe, of Napier, is visiting Palmerston North. Miss Floyd, of the staff of Messrs. Collinson and Cnnninghame, Ltd., is spending her vacation with Mrs. Leonard Tews, Te Autcre, Pohangina. Apologies for absence at yesterday's meeting of the Manawatu Women’s Club were received from Mcsdames Aichison, Hancox, Nicholson, Lovelock and Miss McLagan. Miss Annie Croft, whom Palmerstonians will remember in ‘ ‘ Tho Girl Friend,” has communicated with Palmerston North -friends that sho will not be coming back to Now Zealand.
Miss Dalton, of Scotland, a diploma guider, is expected to arrive, in New Zealand some time in May and will spend a year in the Wellington Province working, in the interests of the Girl Guide Association. A musical evening was held on Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. E. C. Turner, Albert Street, Palmerston North the object being to raise funds in aid of the Hokowhitu school grounds The evening was most successful" in overv way.
