TO-DAY’S RECIPE
CAPE GOOSEBERRY JAM. The following recipe is recommended.—To Slbs. of fruit put 51bs. sugar, 2 cupfuls water, juice of 4 lemons. Boil sugar and water together a few minutes, skim well, add juice of lemons. When quite clear add prepared gooseberries. Boil quickly till it jellies, from 1 to 1£ hours.
