PRIMARY SCHOOLS SPORTS
RECORD ENTRIES FROM 22 SCHOOLS.
Tho annual s-ports gathering of tie Feilding and District Public Schools Amateur Athletic Association is to be held on Kowhai park on March 9th and at a mooting of the committee, presided over by Mr. A. C. McCorkindale (president), the secretary (Mr. E. H. Lange), reported that twenty-two schools had sent in entries. The schools to be represented are:—Bluff R.oad, Cheltenham, Colyton, Glen Oroua, Bunnythorpe, Halcombc, Kakariki, Kiwitea, Kopane, Lytton St., Makino Road, Manchester St., Te Arakura, Tokorangi, Wkakarongo, Mangaonoho, Rangiotu, Rongotea, Stanway, Waituna West, Milson and Taonui. The highest number of schools in any previous competition was 19, in 1928, 1927, and 1924. The entry fees were the second highest on record, being beaten only by the initial gathering in 1920. The matter of catering was left in the hands of the president and secretory and it was decided to refuse to any competitor, not wearing tho proper school raeng cosume, the right to start.
