GOVERNMENT’S LAND POLICY
CONFERENCE THIS MONTH. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Hon. G. Forbes, Minister of Lands, has announced that a conference of commissioners of Crown Lands and l members of the Land Purchase Board will bo held in Wellington on 23rd January to discuss with him the most effcctivo means of settling the available lands in the hands of the Crown, also tho question of abandoned farms and the development of pumice lands and undeveloped lands. Mr. Forbes intends during the next few months to make a personal inspection of undeveloped lands.
