POLO

AUSTRALIANS WILL FIELD STRONG TEAM. United Press Association—By Electri( Telegraph—Copyright. Received Sunday, 7 p.m. HONOLULU, Jan. 6. Captain Pearson, the Australian polo skipper, has sailed for San Francisco. Beveridge and Skene sail for Los Angeles on Saturday with the ponies. An outstanding feature of the practice games here with leading Hawaii poloists was the team work between Skene and Pearson, also the hardiness of the Australian ponies. In a final exhibition practice on Thursday, Skene and Pearson gave Tommy Hitchcock, the American international captain, some real competition. No score was recorded but the blues, with Pearson and Swene, scored more often than the oranges, with Hitchcock.
