Tho list of drowning tragedies this summer was added to when Miss Florence Woods, a single woman aged 34, was swept out to sea by a treacherous undertow at Terrigal and drowned. A gallant attempt at rescuo was made by Miss Bona Sterland, but after supporting Miss Woods for some time she was forced to relinquish her hold in order to save herself.
