TREATY BETWEEN CANADA AND U.S.A United Press Association—By Electril Telegraph—Copyright. OTTAWA, Jan. 2. History was made on Wednesday when Mr. McKenzie King, acting in a plenipotentiary capacity for His Majesty, and the United States Ministers, Mr. Phillips, signed an important treaty governing the increased diversion of the water from Niagara Falls for water power and for extensive remedial works to preserve the beauty of the falls and cataract.
