QUEST FOR WORK
BRITISH UNEMPLOYED. AVENUES EXPLORED. EMPIRE MIGRATION TOO. British Official Wireless. LONDON, July 25.. Regarding the proposals of the Indus trial Transference Board, it has been decided that employment exchanges may advance to men transferred from one district to another in search of work, money for railway feres, removal expenses, and remittances to their wives and families. These are loans to be repaid in small instalments. The suggestion that migration within the Empire should be stimulated also has the approval of the Government, and a discussion of further powers will be undertaken, with the Dominion Governments, by Lord Lovat, Under-Secre-tary for the Dominions, who is Chairman of the Overseas Settlement Committee, during his coming visit to Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
