ALTITUDE RECORD BROKEN BY BRITISHER
Aust. Press Assn.—United Service. LONDON, July 25. Captain G. de Haviland with his wife broke the world's altitude record in a two-seater light 'plane. Uffing a standard Moth, he attained 21,000 feet in 70 minutes. The temperature at 20,000 feet was 27 degrees below freezing point. , The previous record of 18,700 feet was established by Germans in October, 1927.
