TO-DAY'S RECIPE
<s> . ■s> PKUNE PUDDING. <s> r ' <?> <f> OIX ounce prunes, 4oz. each of <s■ bread crumbs and flour, 3oz <B* ■s> suet, 4oz. sugar, one egg, half- <S> <s> pint milk. Soak the prunes <s> <•> over in warm water; dry them <s* <8- and remove stones; cut them <s> <•> into small pieces and roll lightly in flour. Mix together the flour, '<S> <*> sugar, bread crumbs,- and a <i> <?-' pinch of salt. Beat egg and <S> <s> mix with the milk, and stir it <B* , into tho dry ingredients, adding <s> 4> the pieces of prune. Place in a <& <£> well-buttered basin or mould, 4> cover with greaseproof paper, <s> <s• and steam for three to four <S> <v hours. . <B- - <S>.
