MAKINO
Another very enjoyable ' dance was held on Friday night in the Makino schoolroom. A line night, a good floor, good music made the gathering one of tho most successful held there. The pretty frocks of tho girls made the room bright with colour and looked very effective in tho coloured lights of the twilight w r altz, until twilight deepened suddenly into darkest night. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Days, of Waituna. An exceptionally dainty supper (catered by Mr. Kendall, of .Foilding) was handed round by tho ladies of the committee, assisted by other willing helpers. Miss Jean Cummings supplied the music and extras were played by Mr. A. Forney and Mrs. Rick. Mr. M. Anderson carried out tho duties ofi M.C. A card table was thoughtfully provided for ,those who preferred cards to’ dancing and was vfell patronised. Dancing was carried on until 1 a.m.
