SOCIAL CLUB
On Saturday evening last in the Oddfellow’s Hall, Cuba Street the Social Club;, hold its usual weck-c-d monster euchre tourney when there were 136 players present. At the conclusion of 24 keenly contested games the following were declared the prize winners:—■ Ladies:. Mrs Gold (J-ton coal), Mrs Trask (701 b bag'sugar), Mrs Pritchard ; (51b , box tea), Mrs Bird . (251 b bag flour), Mrs McCrlono (bag coal), Mrs E. Jones (lib tea), Mrs Mabey (fire !shovel).;Men: Mr H. Bailey, 3-ton coal, ; Mr E. ißailey, (701 b bag sugar), / Mr ’Eitchio';;(slb box tea); Mr. E. Jones (251 b bag flour), Mr Harvey (bag coal), IMr Pietcher (Hb tea), Mr Mabey (fire 'shovel). The highest score registered was 18 out of a total of 24 games played. , The Allowing persons in addition to those already published and others yet to be decided will participate in the play off : for the gold wristlet watch on September Ist:—Mr Pcrsson, Mr. Wills, Mr Zisma, Mrs Coffey, Mrs Goughian, Mrs Wilsher, Miss Mudgway. All with a score of 13. At the conclusion of play a very tasty supper was partaken of and the prizes presented bringing a very pleasant evening to a close, ,
