Messrs. Levin and Co. Ltd. report as follows oh their Feildlng sale on Friday, July 20: There was a small yarding of both store and fat sheep. The market for fat sheep was well up to Integrates ,and a good clearance was effected. Store sheep were in better deand a good rise in values in breeding' ewes was evident. The small yarding of store and fat cattle sold well and - prices above recent, quotations. Good dairy stock, was in demand, and sold at recent rates. Prices were as follows: Fat b.f. shorn lambs 28/7, 30/-; fat w.f. shorn lambs ,30/6; fat wethers 37/6, 37/8, 39/6; fat ewes 31/1, 35/6; m.a. ewes 21/6, 27/1. Cows in milk £4/10/-, £lO/5/-; cows at drop £11; springing cows £4/10/-, £7, £7/5/-,, £8 15/-, £9/10/-, £l3; second quality Jersey heifers r.w.b. £6, £7; good springing heifers £l3; store cows £2/12/6, £4/2/6, £5/17/6; S.H.-cross steers £7/17/6, £7, £5/5/-, £9/7/-; fat bullocks £11; 34-yr. S.H. heifers £B. Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held a most satisfactory clearing sale on account of Mr. P. A. Doughty, Bulls, on Thursday, July 19. The herd of cows which wore good condition grade Jerseys met with keen competition and the sheep also sold readily. Quotations; Cows £l3, £l4, £l4/iO/-, £ls, £l6, £l6/10/-, £l7, £l7/10/-, £l9, £2l/10/-; the complete herd of 29 averaged £l6/4/-. Grade Jersey heifers £l4/5/-, Jersey-cross heifers £B, £9, £9/10/-, £lO to £lO/10/-; cross-bred heifers £6, £6 10/-, £7, £7/10/- to £B. Heifers sold on account of other vendors realised £9 to (£lO/10-. Cows £9 to £lO/10/-. Small i hoggets 17/3; good . condition hoggets ■23/9; sows to farrow £3. £3/5/-, £3/10/-, £6; milking machine £4O.
