HOCKEY. From Onr Own Correspondent. , The Tokorangi ladies’ hockey team Journeyed to Taihape on Thursday last to take part in the tournament held there under the auspices of the Taihape Hockey Association- The Tokorangi team played three games. Their match with Bangiwalua ended in a draw, and Hihekoa (Feilding) defeated them by one goal to nil. On the whole Toko-:
rangi put-up a very .creditfcble performance; consideringiheyv’had {to meet Strong teams.; Hinckoa, who won the tournament,.' wefe : able;to score only, .one goal agaipst them, , " At Haicomue. Tokof angi’s win ' last Wednesday ■against Waitunavhas left the Tokorangi .and Hinpmoa .teams ,once again, in the interesting ' position of a tie for 'the Rose bowl.; The respective teams are, holding lO points each, f , The teams. wero to meet on the Hinemoa grounds yestord- to play the final for tho Western., section,-when a largo crowd was expected. The winning team will have ,to meet Rangiwahui: later In the final for the Competition Champion-and Southfield Cup. ■ At a meeting hold last week to draw up a schedule for the bulb show, it was ' decided', to ' hold -a ■ euchre party and dance on the 2fth. July in aid of school funds. ,
