Methodist Church. . The quarterly meeting of the Pahiatua Methodist Church was held at the Parsonage on Monday evening. . the country districts.. The Rev. C. A. Foston presided. The various reports dealing with churdh work were received, and discussed. One very pleasing feature noted was the steady growth of tho Sunday school. Tho church finances are also\a little better than they were for tho corresponding period of last year. It was decided to invito Mr Cribb to conduct a service of meetings in Pahiatua next October. Mrs. Foston dispensed a dainty supper for which she was thanked.. W.O.T.U. On Saturday .last the Women’s Christian Te'mporancb' Union held a “ Shop Day” in tho main street. The result was splendid and a good clearance of gifts was made. Those in charge were Mosdames P.
