UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION. From Our Own Correspondent. Tho annual general meeting of the Foxton United Sports Association was held in the Racing Club Buildings on Monday night. Pres3bt were Messrs. Barber. ■ , . ; Correspondence. A letter was received from J, Q»--Boyd, secretary late Hastings - Motor Club, asking for a subscription in connection with a serious accident to O. E. Lowe whilst riding at the. Foxton Motor Sports limt year, '■ Referred to the incoming meeting to deal with. ■ The ‘Now. Zealand Auto Cycle Union wrote advising that the annual conference of delegates will bo held at tho Marten Jockey Club Rooms, Marten, on Wednesday, August Bth., 1923 at 3 p.m. and advising,that any club with outstanding dues should'pay samp before that date, otherwise they would 1 appear, in the report and statement of accounts as "defaulting ’ clubs; /Also that . all" remits must reach the. secretary by Wednesday, ‘lßth; July in prdhf •that 1 they maybe printed and forwarded.'to. clubs fourtcO: days before v tho Annual,. excellent position of the club ■ s finances and the club generally, and also expressed thanks to the members of the committee for the help and consideration which had been responsible for the success of the Association, Ho also notified that the Eacing Conference had cancelled the Club - registration and ho considered that it would not be difficult to get re-instated. ... The president j wished to thank the secretary (Mr E. McMurray) for the way ho had t attended to the affairs of the club. All information required had been punctually, given and the balance sheet showt'J that‘all particulars were at hand/* Mr McMurray had taken the secretaryship well bn in the season and had picked .up the work in very quick time. *' Election of Officers.
