PALMERSTON NORTH SPEAKS TO PIMBA
RADIO MESSAGE TO AUSTRALIAN LISTENER. RECEIVED AT GOOD STRENGTH. On Wednesday evening last 2ZI Radio Station, Palmerston North, called up Mr. Williams at Pimba, South Australia, which is 350 miles north west of Adelaide, and acknowledged receipt of his report of regular reception," which was published in yesterday morning ’i “Manawatu Daily Times.” Yesterday afternoon the president, Mr. W. A. Waters, received a cable from Mr. Williams thanking the club for its message, which he. received at good strength. This feat in radio is remarkable, considering that the air lino distance is about 2000 miles, while the power of 2ZF is only 50 watts. The time in Pimba would be two hours behind that of Palmerston North,
