MANAWATU CO-OPERATIVE BUILDING SOCIETY
LAST NIGHT’S BALLOTS. A general meeting of shareholders of the Manawatu Co-operative Building Society was held last night, when Mr. W. E. Ward presided. Ballots free of interest were held for £I4OO, when the fallowing were successful: No. 1 Group, Mrs. M. Stonehouse, £500; No. 3 Group, Mrs. K. A. Lee, £300; Mrs. M. Wischnowsky, £4OO. At a meeting of directors held subsequently Messrs. W. Newlands, G. B, Cope, G. G. Priest, W. Ward (chairman) were present. The secretary reported that applications for shares in No. 3 Group totalled 26, which were allotted. Loans for £2OO and £3OO in No. 2 Group were approved, and a loan of £SOO was approved in No. 1 Group. Progress payment was granted in No. 4 Group for £250.
