OROUA SUB-UNION

A meeting of delegates of the above Union was held at Kimbolton recently. There were present Messrs J. Watt (chairman), L. Browning, J. Cantwell, W. T, Pratt, B. Kichardson, N. V.' Shannon, T. E. Crainc, A. Brown and D. Everiss (hqn secretary and treasurer). It was resolved as follows: That Mr. N. J. Short be appointed as the Sub-Union’s representative on the selection committee ;in connection with the North v. South trial match. That the Beard Cup competition commence on Saturday 9th June or in the event of a tie in the cup fixtures it commence on the first available Saturday and that two rounds bo played. That Messrs Crainc, Shannon and J. S. Parsons junr. bo appointed junior selectors. ‘ That l\lr. J. Watt bo appointed manager for the senior representatives. That Saturday, June 16th be submitted to the Bush Union as a date for the senior match at Pahiatua.

That the secretary write the Golyton club censuring it for the non-atten-dance of its delegates at the meetings. The secretary was instructed to write the Eangitikci Sub-Union asking for a date for the senior representative match at Kimbolton. SENIOR CUP, PINAIi. The senior cup final match under the auspices of the Oroua Sub-Union will bo played at Kimbolton to-morrow between Apiti and Eangiwahia. Both teams are level with eight points each, and a good game is expected. Mr. N. J. Short will have,the whistle. The following arc the teams: — Apiti: D. and H. M'Kcnzie, Garwood, Beard, Osborne, Pratt, Viles, Scarlo, White, M'Nac, Barling, Spence, Kearney, Elliot, and G. Buchmau. Eangiwahia: Truman, Eobiusou, J. and W. Beard, L. and A. Martin, Saywell, M‘ Gregor, Flaunagan, Hodge, Johnson, Browning, Smith, Meads, and Dcrolcs. Emergency, Oakdcn.
