FEILDING BUSINESS. Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., presided over the fortnightly sitting of the Ecilding Magistrate’s Court, hold yesterday. H. M, Ridgeway, who drove a motorcycle, which did not have a side-car attached, with more than two persons, was fined 10/- and 11'/- costs. Lice Infected Sheep. Fines of £2 and costs 10/- were imposed on Patrick O’Connor and Sydney Gould who exposed for sale sheep infected with lice. Failing to Close Shops, For failing to close their shops to observe the statutory half holiday, B. M‘Dowell, and Hop Lee were each lined £2 and costs, 10/-. Maintenance Case. A sentence of throe months’ imprisonment was imposed on Frank C. Hill for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order in respect of his children, the arrears amounting to £2O 10/-. An order was made suspending the execution of the warrant provided defendant pays the arrears and costs amounting to £2/2/-. A like sentence with a similar provision, was made in respect of a breach of the maintenance order in favour of defendant’s wife.. The arrears in this case amounted to £29/10/-. Civil Business.
