MAKING LODGE
OFFICERS INSTALLED. There was an attendance of between 50 and (30 members as well as visitors from Oroua Lodge and Acorn Lodge, Palmerston North, at the half-yearly meeting of the Makino Lodge 8.A.0.D. The officers for the ensuing year were installed by the district president, Bro. Hiscox, as follows:—Arch Druid, Bro. A. Clover; vice Druid, Bro. Pratt; secretary, Bro. Hobday; treasurer, Bro. P. G. Guy; junior Past Arch, Bro. Feeney; 1.G., Bros. Davis; 0.G., Bro. Levin; Arch Bards, Bros. Kitchen and Street; vice Arch Bards, Bros. Hannett and Hinks; minute secretary, Bro. Barltrop; hack room stewards, Bros. Hannett, Kitchen, and Pratt. One member was accepted by clearance.
A motion of which the required notice had been given was fully discussed and it was resolved to admit female members 1o the lodge both with sick and funeral benefits and as honorary members. The first lady member is to be initiated on the next meeting night of the lodge.
