“SEE NEW ZEALAND FIRST”
The slogan “ Sec New Zealand First ” adopted by the Railway Department has been rightly earned, as, by tho Department’s foresight in providing the popular week-end excursions many thousands of people have been enabled this summer to travel to distant places of interest and beauty, which journeys could not otherwise have been undertaken. One of the best excursions of the kind is now being arranged, viz., from Wellington to Auckland and tho Waitomo Caves. The excursion train leaves Wellington on Friday afternoon, 2nd March, and arrives back in Wellington at 7 a.m. on the Monday following. A trip to the Queen City at half the usual faro is well worth while but ns a visit to the world-famous Waitomo Caves is also included the opportunity of making the Journey should not be missed.
