SOCIAL CLUB
On. Saturday evening in the Oddfellows’ Hall, the Social Club held its monster euchre tourney when there were 128 players present. Play commenced at 8 o’clock and continued until 10.30 p.m., when tho following were declared tho prize winners: Ladies, Mrs. Butler (£2 order), Mrs. M'Brcarfy (£1 order),. Mrs, P. T. Eobinson (10/- order), Mrs. Coffey (5/order); men, Mr. Waterhouse (£2 order), Mr. R. Bailey (£1 order), Mr. Hubbard (10/- order), Mr. Nicoll (5/ordcr). A feature of the evening’s amusement was the very cool condition! of the hall, although the ■weather was very warm. Tho highest score registered was 181 out of a total of 2-1 j games played. The partaking of a tasty supper and the presentation of tho prizes concluded a very pleasant evening.
